Overview

Precision Trial System

First, you will undergo a minor, reversible surgical procedure that will allow you to actually experience the benefits of the Precision Plus System. You’ll use a temporary, non-implanted (external) system for about one week.

The Precision Trial System includes:

  • Trial Device (or External Trial Stimulator): Placed outside the body, it generates tiny pain-masking electrical impulses.

  • Leads: Small, flexible, implantable wires that deliver pain-masking stimulation to the spinal cord.

  • Remote Control: An easy-to-use1 device you can use to adjust your therapy. Compared to other SCS systems, the Precision Plus Remote Control is the only one to-date that allows patients to control their therapy with a wireless patient Remote Control that never uses a cord.

  • Cables: Connect the Leads to your Trial Device

  • Velcro® Belt: A comfortable waistband that holds your trial device.
  • Precision Plus Long-Term System

If you and your physician determine that the Precision Plus system addresses your pain needs and fits your lifestyle, then you will undergo another minor surgical procedure to surgically place the Precision Plus system.

The Precision Plus Long-Term System includes:

    • Implantable Pulse Generator (IPG): A long-lasting rechargeable battery that precisely generates pain-masking signals. The Precision implant is the smallest and lightest IPG available to-date – about half the size of other SCS systems.

    • Leads: Small, flexible, implantable wires that deliver pain-masking stimulation to the spinal cord.

    • Remote Control: An easy-to-use device you can use to adjust your therapy. Compared to other SCS systems, the Precision Plus Remote Control is the only one to-date that allows patients to control their therapy with a wireless patient Remote Control that never uses a cord.

    • Charger and Base Station: Cordless and lightweight, it allows you to receive therapy while charging, discreetly charge with a small belt or adhesive patch, and recharge your IPG even if it is completely discharged. The portable, cordless design means that you are never tethered to AC power while charging, so you can charge on the go or at home.
