The Q4 2011 Product Performance Report includes performance data for leads which meet or exceed the AdvaMed Industry Guidance for Uniform Reporting of Clinical Performance of Cardiac Rhythm Management Pulse Generators and Leads. This level of reporting also addresses the Recommendations from the Heart Rhythm Society Task Force on Lead Performance Policies and Guidelines. Data within this report are current through October 9, 2011.

To strengthen and reinforce the power of our US post-market device performance data we are now including prospective data from our Longitudinal Surveillance Registry (LSR). The primary purpose of the Longitudinal Surveillance Registry is to evaluate and report on the long-term reliability and clinical performance of BSC's leads within defined clinical centers.
